The Tourist visa is issued to people who wish to visit India for tourist purposes i.e., Recreation, sightseeing, casual visit to meet friends and relatives etc. The visa is non - extendable and non-convertible. No other activity is permissible on Tourist visa.Govt. of India has started issuing 5-10 years duration for Tourist and Entry visas for Canadians starting from the 4th Dec 2017.Biometrics is compulsory for all Visa applicants. Applicants between the age of 12-70 must be present personally at the BLS Center to apply for the same. Biometrics are exempted for the applicant applying visa for the duration of 1 year or less.
